Code of Conduct

STUDENT CONDUCT AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Desert Knight CDL School is dedicated to training tomorrow’s professional driver and expects the same dedication to professionalism from its students in the classroom and on the range and road. Any student’s in violation of the following will be expelled:

  • Unsatisfactory academic progress, fail (2) times at OMV
  • Being under the influence or in the possession of intoxicating beverages or controlled substances while on the school’s property, in or around equipment, or during any portion of the student’s training program
  • Failure at any time to comply with the requirements of the student’s training program
  • Engaging in unsafe behavior or operation of equipment used
  • Insubordination and/or rude or disrespectful conduct
  • Possession of weapons or vandalism
  • Excessive absenteeism or failure to complete the makeup work
  • Failure to make tuition payments on dates due
  • Falsification of any of the school’s admissions paperwork

The school is not responsible for injury or property damage incurred by a student as a result of the student’s own negligence, unsafe behavior, or failure to strictly adhere to the school’s policies and/or procedures.

STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES

When training, a student is expected to follow certain rules for safe and responsible conduct, at any time an instructor may also inform a class other rules that may affect them.

ADDITIONAL GENERAL INFO

Wear safe and comfortable clothing and footwear.

Visitors MUST check in with the office upon entering the building, n visitors of any age will be allowed on the range at any time, they are only allowed in the classroom.
