JOIN Inc. is Northern Nevada’s workforce development solution. Serving residents in 13 Nevada counties (including the Reno / Sparks area), JOIN provides access to FREE educational and occupational training for Nevada individuals seeking careers, financial stability, and personal success.
Ridge House Inc.
Ridge House provides a compassionate, evidence-based continuum of care to help those who are involved, or at risk of becoming involved in the criminal justice system by meeting their behavioral health and reentry needs so they can achieve long-term recovery.
Community Chest
Community Chest acts as a catalyst for change and a center for resources to help people help themselves and others. They provide a diverse range of services including counseling, family advocacy, youth enrichment programs, and employment placement assistance for Nevadans in need.
Northern Nevada Literacy Council
The Northern Nevada Literacy Council is dedicated to helping adult learners complete & achieve further goals in education, while also reinforcing family literacy behaviors. NNLC provides FREE classes to adults who want to complete their Certificate of High School Equivalency (HSE, formerly known as the GED), English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, and Citizenship classes to foreign-born adults.
Nevada Works
Nevada Works helps provide employers in Northern Nevada with a skilled, productive workforce that supports the economic needs of local communities. They offer funding to qualified service providers who work directly with a diverse population of individuals seeking employment, skill upgrades, or who are entering the workforce for the first time.
Employ NV
Employ NV is an official site of the State of Nevada and provides a complete set of employment tools for job seekers throughout the state. Users can search for a range of jobs, create résumés, and find education & training opportunities.
DETR
The Nevada Department of Employment, Training, and Rehabilitation is the state’s lead workforce development agency. It consists of divisions that offer workforce-related services, job placement & training, disability services, investigation of claims of discrimination, unemployment insurance benefits, labor market data, and more.

At Desert Knight CDL School in Sparks, NV, we pride ourselves on offering the highest quality, putting forth the greatest effort, and spending the time our students need to succeed.
The tuition pays for your CDL study materials, classroom time, use of equipment, and one-on-one time with instructors.
